Sir Thomas Long of Draycot – Sheriff of Wiltshire, 12th Great Grandfather Inherited Draycot Estates in 1478 and South Waxall in 1490.
In 1501 he received a Knighthood at the marriage of Henry’s VII eldest son Arthur Prince of Wales. He was at the reception of Catherine of Aragon at Shaftesburg. (new TV series, The Spanish Princess).
He was elected a member of Parliament in 1491 for Westbury and appointed High Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1500. He was at the Coronation of Henry VIII in 1509.
Charles, Prince of Wales and Mark Phillips first husband of Princess Anne are descendants.
100 years later, Mary Long would marry Robert King. They would travel to America and give birth to Ann King. Ann King would marry 7th great grandfather William Collins.
